
The Quebec City area is the perfect destination for an authentic educational and cultural experience any time of year! Depart for Quebec City. There will be a short stop en route to stretch your legs, and a stop for lunch. In the late afternoon, enjoy an orientation tour to include Place d'Armes, Dufferin Terrace, the majestic Chateau Frontenac and the Assemblee Nationale. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.
Half day guided tour of Quebec City, the only walled city in North America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your tour will include such sites as Musee du Fort, the Plains of Abraham, and the city walls. There will be time to buy lunch along the Grande Allee. In the afternoon, enjoy another half day guided tour which will include the heart of the Old Town: Ursulines Chapel, Anglican Cathedral, City Hall, Notre-Dame Basilica and the Seminary. Continue to the Latin Quarter and Old Port. Then on to Place Royal and Petit Champlain. Dinner this evening is at your expense.
After breakfast, depart for Cote de Beaupre. Visit the Albert-Gilles Copper Museum, and the Basilica of St-Anne-de-Beaupre. After lunch, continue to Montmorency Falls. After visiting the Falls, return to Quebec City, where you will visit the Musee National des Beau-Arts du Quebec. It is the city's most important art museum focusing on the works of Quebec-born painters and sculptors. Dinner this evening will be at a Sugar Shack, including a traditional meal, folkloric music and tasting maple taffy on snow.
After breakfast, return to your home town.
