Depart for Paris via a European gateway.
Arrival in Paris and transfer to Dieppe, the nearest seaside resort to Paris. The city's famous sea-side lawns were laid out in 1863 by Empress Eugenie and Napoleon III.
Visit to Vimy Ridge, a Memorial to over 3,000 Canadians who died dislodging the Germans from the Ridge. After the tour, depart for Caen, capital of Lower Normandy.
Half day guided tour of Caen, which will show you the strategic role the city played in the Battle of Normandy in 1944. The tour will take you to the World War II Memorial, the Canadian Center at Juno Beach and the Canadian War Cemetery at Beny-sur-le-Mer. The afternoon is free to explore this beautiful town with your Tour Escort.
Depart for Mont St. Michel, which has been called "The Wonder of the Western World". Its extraordinary site, its rich influential history and glorious architecture combine to make it the most splendid of all the abbeys of France. Visit the Abbey and Cathedral. Continue to your hotel located in the Loire Valley, for dinner and the night.
In the morning, we recommend a visit to one of the many chateaux of the Loire, such as Chateau Chenonceau, a jewel of Renaissance architecture. It was the home of Diane de Poitiers. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to Chartres, with its beautiful Cathedral, which took 25 years to complete. Continue to Paris for dinner and the night.
Half day guided sightseeing tour to include the most interesting sights of Paris: the Arc de Triomphe, Opera, Madeleine, Champs Elysees, the Eiffel Tower and the Cathedral of Notre Dame which has been witness to the great events of French history. In the afternoon, visit to the Louvre, one of the greatest museums in the world, containing Oriental, Egyptian and Classical antiquities, in addition to sculptures and paintings. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Visit to Versailles, the creation of the French monarchy at the moment of its greatest splendor. Consisting of the great palace, the gardens and the Trianons, it is a wonderfully harmonious composition of building and landscape. Entrance is free for school groups (booking fee is included). The afternoon is free to further explore this beautiful city with your Tour Escort.
Transfer to the airport in order to take your flight to Toronto or Montreal.
